Spinach & Mozzarella Burger
Discover this spinach and mozzarella cheese burger for your diet.
Ingredients
- Minced Meat: 500 grams lean
- Spinach: 1 cup chopped
- Breadcrumbs: ½ cup whole wheat
- Egg: 1
- Garlic: 1 clove minced
- Onion: 1 small, chopped
- Paprika: 1 teaspoon
- Salt: a pinch
- Black Pepper: a pinch
- Mozzarella Cheese: 4 slices low-fat
- Olive Oil: as needed for cooking
- Burger Buns: 4 whole wheat
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the minced meat, spinach, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
- Place a slice of mozzarella cheese in the center of each patty and seal the meat around it completely.
- Heat a grill pan or oven and cook the burger patties from both sides until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve the burgers hot with fresh vegetables and whole wheat buns.
