Ingredients
  

  • Minced Meat: 500 grams lean
  • Spinach: 1 cup chopped
  • Breadcrumbs: ½ cup whole wheat
  • Egg: 1
  • Garlic: 1 clove minced
  • Onion: 1 small, chopped
  • Paprika: 1 teaspoon
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Black Pepper: a pinch
  • Mozzarella Cheese: 4 slices low-fat
  • Olive Oil: as needed for cooking
  • Burger Buns: 4 whole wheat

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, mix the minced meat, spinach, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Shape the mixture into four equal-sized patties.
  • Place a slice of mozzarella cheese in the center of each patty and seal the meat around it completely.
  • Heat a grill pan or oven and cook the burger patties from both sides until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve the burgers hot with fresh vegetables and whole wheat buns.
