  • Egyptian Rice: 1 cup
  • Water: 1 ¼ cups
  • Salt: to taste

  • Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it for at least 30 minutes to remove the starch.
  • In a deep pot over medium heat, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the drained rice. Let the rice come to a boil, then cover the pot and reduce the heat to low until the rice is fully cooked.
  • Serve the white rice hot.
