  • 500 grams whole wheat pasta cooked
  • 2 bunches fresh basil leaves only, cleaned
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 5 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
  • 5 tablespoons pine nuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions
 

  • To prepare the pesto sauce: Place the basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper into a food processor.
  • Blend the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous mixture. Then, add the water and olive oil, and blend again until you have a smooth sauce.
  • Place the cooked pasta in a serving dish, pour the pesto sauce over it, and toss until well combined. Serve immediately.
