Vermicelli Rice is a dish prepared by adding a thin, short type of ready-made pasta, known as “vermicelli,” to the rice during cooking. The vermicelli enhances the delicious taste of the rice & gives it a soft texture and a beautiful golden color.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups Long-Grain Rice
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1 small cup Vermicelli
  • Salt to taste
  • 6 cups Hot Water

Instructions
 

  • Soak the rice for 60 minutes.
  • Wash the rice well with water and drain it.
  • Heat the oil in a pot over the fire, add the vermicelli, and fry it until it turns golden brown.
  • Add the rice to the vermicelli, stir it, sprinkle the salt, and then pour in the boiling water.
  • Cover the pot. When you notice the rice has absorbed the water, leave the rice on low heat until it cooks, stirring the rice gently. Serve hot.
