Raisin Bread
Raisin bread is a very popular pastry, but it's often not suitable for diets, as it contains about 424 calories on average.
Ingredients
- 500 grams flour
- 8 grams salt
- 75 grams sugar
- 10 grams yeast
- 225 grams milk
- 150 grams soft butter
- 100 grams raisins
- 75 grams walnuts
- 3 eggs
- 5 grams bread improver
- Apricot jam as needed (for glazing)
Instructions
- Knead all the ingredients together except for the butter. Add water gradually until a dough forms. Knead patiently until the dough is smooth, elastic, and has a slightly soft consistency.
- Add the soft butter and knead until it is fully incorporated and the dough is homogeneous. Then, add the walnuts and raisins.
- Place the dough in a loaf pan, filling it only one-third of the way up to allow space for it to rise and double in size.
- Moisten your hands with water and gently shape the dough in the pan. Cover it and let it proof for about 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Once risen, brush the top with apricot jam for a glossy finish.
- Bake in the oven until fully cooked and golden brown.
