Coconut Donuts
The donut recipe we present to you today contains unsweetened alternatives to the original ingredients.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 220 grams flour coconut flour
- 100 milliliters almond milk unsweetened
- 50 milliliters coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar substitute
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ tablespoon salt
- Vegetable oil as needed (for frying)
- 50 grams coconut toasted and unsweetened / for coating
- 2 tablespoons sugar substitute for coating
Instructions
- Lightly grease a donut pan with a little oil.
- In a bowl, mix the coconut flour, salt, sugar substitute, and baking powder. Then add the eggs, vanilla, coconut oil, and almond milk. Mix the ingredients until you get a smooth batter.
- Fill the cavities in the donut pan two-thirds full with the batter.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the pan in the oven for about 15 minutes until the edges are golden. Then, set it aside to cool.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the donuts for about one minute on each side.
- In a separate bowl, mix the toasted coconut and sugar substitute until combined.
- Remove the donuts from the pan, then roll them in the toasted coconut mixture. Let them cool, then place them on a serving plate and enjoy.
