Rice is a main dish on the dining table, and many different types have emerged, varying in taste, size, preparation method, and uses. Among these types is Basmati rice long-grain, light on the stomach, and quick to prepare & cook.

Light Basmati Rice
Rice is a main dish on the dining table, and many different types have emerged, varying in taste, size, preparation method, and uses.
Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Basmati rice
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
Instructions
- Wash the rice well and soak it in water for 10 minutes. Then, drain the water.
- Place the vegetable oil in a pot over the heat. Add the salt, white pepper, and rice. Cover the rice with boiling water.
- Let the rice cook for 5 minutes on high heat until the water is absorbed. Then, let it cook on low heat for 30 minutes, making sure the pot is covered.
- Once the rice is cooked, turn off the heat. Let it sit covered for 2 minutes, then fluff it gently with a fork and serve on a platter.
