Oatmeal with Milk
This meal provides you with the necessary energy to start your day and also helps regulate your blood sugar levels.
Ingredients
- Oats: ½ cup whole grain
- Milk: 1 cup low-fat
- Honey: ½ teaspoon
- Berries: ¼ cup
- Cinnamon: A pinch ground
Instructions
- In a small pot, combine the oats and milk. Place the pot over medium heat, stirring the mixture constantly until it begins to boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring for 5 minutes until the oats absorb the liquid and become soft and creamy. If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add a little warm water or milk.
- Once the oats are cooked, remove the pot from the heat, add the honey, and stir well.
- Pour the oatmeal into a serving bowl, top with fresh fruit like berries or a sprinkle of cinnamon just before serving, and enjoy it warm.
