Quinoa is a grain that contains all the essential amino acids the body needs, making it a complete protein.
Ingredients
- 1 cup quinoa grains
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse the quinoa well under running water, then drain it.
- Heat the olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the quinoa grains and stir them for about one minute.
- Pour in the hot water and sprinkle the salt. Cover the pot and let the quinoa cook on low heat for about 15 minutes until it is done.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the quinoa to a serving dish and serve it hot.
