Air Fryer Potatoes

You can enjoy the delicious taste of crispy potatoes in a healthy way that's perfect for your diet by using an air fryer.
Prep Time 40 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients

  • Potatoes: 2 medium-sized, peeled and cut into thick sticks or wedges
  • Olive Oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika: ½ teaspoon
  • Garlic Powder: ¼ teaspoon
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Black Pepper: a pinch
  • Dried Herbs: to taste Oregano / optional

Instructions

  • Wash the potato sticks or wedges well with cold water to remove excess starch.
  • Dry the potatoes completely using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. This step is important for getting crispy potatoes.
  • Place the dried potatoes in a large bowl.
  • Add the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs. Toss well until the potatoes are evenly coated with the spices and oil.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Arrange the potato sticks or wedges in the air fryer basket in a single layer as much as possible.
  • Avoid overcrowding the basket so the potatoes cook evenly and become crispy. If you have a large quantity, cook them in batches.
  • Set the timer for 15-20 minutes. Halfway through the cooking time, open the air fryer and gently shake the basket or flip the potatoes with tongs to ensure they brown on all sides.
  • If you prefer crispier potatoes, you can add a few extra minutes of cooking time, keeping a close eye on them.
  • Remove the healthy potatoes from the air fryer and sprinkle with a little more salt if needed.
  • Serve them hot as a healthy snack or a side dish.
