Ingredients
- 500 grams whole wheat pasta cooked
- 2 bunches fresh basil leaves only, cleaned
- 4 cloves garlic
- 5 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
- 5 tablespoons pine nuts
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- To prepare the pesto sauce: Place the basil leaves, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper into a food processor.
- Blend the ingredients well until you get a homogeneous mixture. Then, add the water and olive oil, and blend again until you have a smooth sauce.
- Place the cooked pasta in a serving dish, pour the pesto sauce over it, and toss until well combined. Serve immediately.
