Ingredients
  

  • 500 grams kunafa dough kataifi/shredded phyllo
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Akkawi cheese shredded
  • 2 tablespoons crushed pistachios
  • Vegetable oil as needed
  • 1 cup honey for sweetening

Instructions
 

  • To prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix the mozzarella cheese, Akkawi cheese, and pistachios until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Spread a small amount of the kunafa dough on a work surface. Place about one teaspoon of the cheese filling on it and roll it up.
  • Repeat the previous step until all the dough and filling are used.
  • Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Fry the kunafa fingers until golden brown. Alternatively, you can bake them in an oven tray until browned on all sides.
  • Place the kunafa fingers on a serving plate, drizzle with honey, and serve.
