Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup quick oats
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • ½ cup berries fresh or frozen
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • A pinch of cinnamon optional
  • 1 teaspoon chopped almonds
  • 1 teaspoon chopped walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small pot, combine the oats and milk.
  • Place the pot over medium heat until it begins to boil, then reduce the heat to low.
  • Stir the oats continuously for 5-7 minutes until the liquid is absorbed and the texture becomes creamy. Remove the pot from the heat.
  • Add the berries, honey, and cinnamon, and stir gently.
  • Pour the oats into a serving bowl, garnish with the nuts and chia seeds.
  • Serve the dish warm or cold.
