Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken breasts skinless, boneless, cut into strips
  • 1 cup low-fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sweet red pepper powder paprika
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, minced ginger, curry powder, turmeric, cumin, sweet red pepper powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the chicken pieces in the marinade and make sure they are well coated on all sides.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for a stronger flavor.
  • Heat the grill or oven. Take the chicken pieces out of the marinade and place them on the grill.
  • Grill on both sides until cooked through and golden brown.
  • Serve the tandoori chicken with a green salad or grilled vegetables for a complete and balanced meal.
