Chicken Shawarma
You can prepare a delicious and nutritious diet chicken shawarma, perfectly suitable for a meal, in the style of healthysimplyrecipes.
Ingredients
- 500 grams Chicken Breast sliced into thin strips
- 1 container Yogurt fat-free
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
- Whole Wheat Tortilla Bread as needed
- 1 cup Lettuce shredded
- 1 Red Onion chopped
- Pickles sliced, optional
Instructions
- Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, season the chicken strips with olive oil, yogurt, garlic powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Rest the Marinade: Let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for the best results.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat a grill or pan and add the marinated chicken strips. Cook, stirring, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned.
- Warm the Tortillas: Heat the tortilla bread in a pan or on the grill for a few seconds on each side until warm and flexible.
- Assemble: Place a portion of the grilled chicken onto each tortilla.
- Add Toppings: Add the shredded lettuce, chopped red onion, and pickles.
- Serve: Serve the diet chicken shawarma hot, alongside a green salad and garlic sauce.
